In February of 2014, Richmond Cycling Corps again broke new ground, and launched Richmond’s first high school cycling team, and the nation’s first inner-city high school cycling team, Armstrong Cycling.  Located within a public housing neighborhood, and fed from five different public housing projects, Armstrong High is Richmond’s most underserved high school. Not content with just creating a team, Armstrong Cycling came to race in their first season—fielding two Varsity riders, racking up top 20 results, and having a first year rider ranked in the state of Virginia’s Varsity top 25 .
