The Richmond Cycling Corps is a nonprofit that serves youth living in the East End. As a 501 (c)(3), we rely on philanthropy to serve our mission. In 2021 we saw increased generosity across the board. This type of generosity allows our small organization to continue serving our youth and allows us to dream up bigger and better ways to carry out our mission.
As one year ends and another begins, it is worth reflecting on who it is that supported our mission. And who it is that makes it all happen. So, besides yourself, who are the magical individuals who donated to RCC?
In 2021, we had 288 different individuals donate during the calendar year.
this number doubled the average of the previous two years!
Of those 288 donors, 135 were people who had donated in a previous year
So we had 153 new donors in 2021.
The gift most often given was: $100
how that support translates to our youth
With that support, we were able to go on 234 rides stretching over 423 hours. That is over 17 days of just riding a bike!
Our youth competed in 63 competitive races
Our youth rode over 8,900 miles
We spent 68% of our time on our mountain bikes compared to 32% of time spent on our road bikes.
Where our donors are from?
73% of our donors in 2021 were from the Richmond area.
83% of our donors in 2021 were from Virginia.

So Thank you
All of this is to say a huge thank you to all of our supporters. We are only able to offer consistent programming thanks to the generosity of others. We are excited to embark on another year, RCC’s 13th calendar year of existence.
We hope to see you all again in 2022!
